Massive Bush

This mischievous masterpiece began as a holiday snap from Malta, featuring a tiny courtyard cat perched beside a giant Monstera.

The name Tiny Pussy, Massive Bush was cracked on the spot (and obviously stuck).

Cheeky and playful, it’s exactly the kind of humour my mam and I shared. She adored the photo when I showed her, giggling at the title.

When she passed away a few months later, I found myself painting that memory. What began as something light-hearted became unexpectedly healing, helping me laugh, cry, and grieve.

Not long after finishing, the piece was accepted into the Newcastle Art Centre Summer Exhibition. Seeing it on the gallery wall was a proud moment I’ll never forget.

While I’m not ready to part with the original, 150 limited edition A3 prints are available in my Etsy shop.

Cheeky but totally safe for work, this print brings smiles (and maybe a dirty giggle or two) to any room and is the perfect talking point for anyone with a sense of humour as big as that bush.

The original Tiny Pussy, Massive Bush currently hangs proudly in my home, and I’m not quite ready to part with it just yet.

That said, it does enjoy the occasional outing and is regularly entered into exhibitions, so you may spot it popping up in galleries from time to time.
